Measure Phase – Measure the Key Processes’ Performances

Step 1

After collecting production records for each work order/lot (Production Input, Defect Quantity, Production Time and etc.), click the Production Data Input function to enter production records to program.

 

Step 2

Click the Add New Production Records-EZ function to enter the data in easy mode.

Step 3

Follow the instructions on the top of the screen to enter data.

1)      Enter the Work Order/ Lot number

2)      Enter the product number

3)      Enter the estimated production start time and the finish time.

 

After entering the Work Order/Lot info, the program will (user can click the Step 2 functional block to) switch to the production record entry form.

 

Step 4

1)      Select the process number from the drop down list.

2)      Enter the Lot Size or Production Input for this process step.

3)      Enter the total defect found in this step

4)      Program default Start Time is 8:00AM user can change it manually.

5)      User can either enter the production finish time for this step or double click the blank area to let program calculate the finish time.

 

Step 5

After entering the production records, click the Review Six Sigma Measurements button to review the Work Order/Lot performance using Six Sigma Measurements.

 

Tip: Besides the Z value/Sigma Level, the Throughput Yield and the Rolled Throughput Yield are also important indices for Work Order/Lot performance.

 

Step 6

Click the Review Report button to review and print out the Work Order/Lot Performance Report.

 

Step 2b

For advanced user, click the Add New Production Records-Full function to have a quick and simple data entry format.

 

Step 3b

In Advanced Mode,

1)      Enter the Work Order number and the Product Number.

2)      Select the Process Number from the drop down list.

3)      Enter the Production Input

4)      Enter the Defect QTY

5)      By default, the program will use 8:00AM as the start time. User can change it accordingly.

6)      Enter the Production Finish Time, or double click blank area to let the program calculate finish time automatically.

 

Step 4b

Click the Six Sigma Measurements button to review the Work Order/Lot performance using Six Sigma Measurements.

 

Step 5b

Click the Review Report button to review and print the Work Order/Lot Performance Report.

 

Step 7

1) Click the Review/Edit/Output Production Records function

2) Select a Work Order/Lot Number to review the report or to edit records.
